Job Demands Analysis
What is a Job Demands Analysis?
A JDA identifies and provides a detailed description of the physical
demands of the components of an individual worker’s job. These
components are analyzed by qualified, experienced staff, independently
using objective measures. The information is used to quantify the
physical demands placed on the worker.
How are job components analyzed?
The job components are defined and described in quantitative terms
following a worksite assessment by a qualified professional.
Why would you need a detailed Job Demands Analysis?
This document serves as the cornerstone for the rehabilitation process.
A good Job Demands Analysis allows us to design an appropriate rehabilitation
plan and physical conditioning programme based specifically on the
physical stresses placed on the individual worker in a particular
job.

Work
Site Assessment
A work site assessment identifies the essential
physical, cognitive, and perceptual demands of an individual’s
job. The work site assessment specifically relates the job demands
and work situation to an employee’s known abilities and limitations.
This assessment is conducted by a qualified professional
with both the employee and employer being present.

Impairment
Rating
What is an Impairment Rating?
Utilizing the latest accepted methodology and AMA standards,
our qualified professionals test and analyze an injured client and
produce a legally defensible document quantifying the client’s
physical impairment as it relates to the specific body part as well
as the whole person.
How is this rating determined?
• The American Medical Association’s Guides to the Evaluation
of Permanent Impairment, are used as the standard to quantify the
client’s impairment
• Ratings are based on: Diagnosis Related Estimates (DRE)
– Injury Model, and Range of Motion – Functional Models.
• Ratings can be determined using available data from referral
source or by using ARCON objective data obtained at MED WORKS Assessments.
