Job
Demands Analysis (JDA)
What is a Job Demands Analysis?
A JDA identifies and provides a detailed description of the physical
demands of the components of an individual worker’s job. These
components are analyzed by qualified, experienced staff, independently
using objective measures. The information is used to quantify the
physical demands placed on the worker.
How are job components analyzed?
The job components are defined and described in quantitative terms
following a worksite assessment by a qualified professional.
Why would you need a detailed Job Demands Analysis?
This document serves as the cornerstone for the rehabilitation process.
A quality Job Demands Analysis allows us to design an appropriate
rehabilitation plan and physical conditioning programme based specifically
on the physical stresses placed on the individual worker in a particular
job.

Work
Site Assessment
A work site assessment identifies the essential
physical, cognitive, and perceptual demands of an individual’s
job. The work site assessment specifically relates the job demands
and work situation to an employee’s known abilities and limitations.
This assessment is conducted by a qualified professional
with both the employee and employer being present.

Ergonomic
Assessment
An Ergonomic Assessment consists of an assessment
of the worksite which includes the workstation/work area, tools/equipment
used and the job tasks in relation to the individual(s) performing
the job. The Ergonomic Assessment identifies potential injury risk
factors and provides recommendations to reduce these risks.
Call MED WORKS Assessments to discuss your specific
requirements.

Work
Hardening Program
What is a Work Hardening Program?
This is a program provided in-house at MED WORKS Assessments specifically
designed to reverse the effects of a de-conditioned individual due
to job stresses. It focuses on resolving and correcting current
complaints while incorporating specific job function retraining.
For example: If a worker has developed a shoulder
injury caused by their job, which then affects their job performance,
MED WORKS Assessments would develop and deliver a rehabilitation
program to resolve the current injury and retrain the worker to
help avoid a re-occurrence.
